Scotts® Halts® Crabgrass & Grassy Weed Preventer is a pre-emergent weed killer that prevents the germination of various lawn weeds, allowing you to maintain a lush, healthy lawn. This product is designed for use on all lawn and grass types, with the exception of Dichondra or Bentgrass lawns.

In the early spring, when the lawn is dry, applying Scotts® Halts® Crabgrass & Grassy Weed Preventer will prevent the germination of crabgrass, foxtail, spurge, barnyardgrass, fall panicum, goosegrass*, and oxalis throughout the entire season. For effective control of goosegrass, a repeat application is recommended after 8 weeks.

For fall applications, Scotts® Halts® Crabgrass & Grassy Weed Preventer can be used to prevent the germination of moss (except in California), Poa annua, henbit, corn speedwell, and chickweed. This product is designed to provide lasting protection, as rain, snow, or freezing weather after application will not affect its performance.
