Tsunami DQ, one of our products, controls many types of aquatic growth such as duckweed, water hyacinth, pondweeds, and coontail. It is formulated for use with people, pets, wildlife, swimming, irrigation, and potable water.

For best results, make sure any repeat applications of Tsunami DQ are within two weeks of the initial treatment. This contact herbicide is safe when used according to label directions, though it is important to treat in sections to avoid rapid oxygen depletion when treating excessive pond growth.

Tsunami DQ should be used for pond weeds, waiting 14 days between applications and only treating a 1/2 or 1/3 of the pond at a time to recover oxygen levels. Spray the product directly over the growth you are treating, using 2-8 quarts per surface acre depending on the infestation and type of weed.

Pond weeds should be treated when they are actively growing, and water temperatures are above 60°F. Our step-by-step pond maintenance program includes the use of pond dye, pond bacteria, algaecide, submerged weed control, and emerged weed control, all to be applied at the appropriate times throughout the year for optimal results.
